The Las Vegas Raiders (5-7) head to Los Angeles this Thursday to take on the Rams (3-9) in what will likely be a pretty miserable way to kick off Week 14 of the NFL season. Kickoff at SoFi Stadium is set for 8:15 ET, and the game can be seen on Amazon Prime TV. Davante Adams and Josh Jacobs will look to continue their tear when they take on the struggling Rams, who may be starting newly acquired Baker Mayfield in Thursday’s game. The offensive firepower of the Raiders and the lack thereof from the Rams side should lead to an easy win for Las Vegas. See why taking the Raiders to cover will be a piece of cake and a nice start to your NFL betting week.

Davante Adams & Josh Jacobs have been Unstoppable as of Late

Davante Adams has been prop bettors and fantasy owners’ dream over the last five weeks. Over the course of his last five games, Adams has racked up 664 receiving yards, and he’s also found the end zone seven times in that span. He has had at least seven receptions in each of his last five games, and is playing some of the best football of his entire career. Although Los Angeles has a relatively strong secondary, it’s unlikely that they’ll be able to put an end to Adams’ insane run.

Even if the Rams can stop the aerial attack, they’ll have to come up with an answer for Raiders running back Josh Jacobs, who has been one of the top surprises of the 2022 NFL season. Jacobs has picked up at least 100 yards in each of his last 3 games, and has managed to score 3 TDS in the same span. The Rams strong run defense should be able to limit the ground game of the Raiders, but Jacobs will be a tall order for a team that will be lacking motivation with no chance of making the playoffs. One of these two players will, and maybe even both, find the endzone for the Raiders and help them cover the spread.

Los Angeles doesn’t have an NFL Caliber Starting QB

Rams QB John Wolford threw for 178 yards in his 14 pass completions out of 26 attempts last Sunday in their home loss against the Seahawks. It was Wolford’s first start since regular starter Matthew Stafford was ruled likely to be out for the remainder of the season. Likely due to Wolford’s poor performance, it was recently announced early Tuesday that the Rams have picked up former Browns and Panthers QB Baker Mayfield off of the waiver wire. Even if Mayfield does get the nod to start under center Thursday night, his lack of knowledge of Coach McVay’s playbook and his inability to play the position this season will leave the Rams offense struggling against the Raiders. It’s safe to say that you can count on the Raiders taking care of business and covering the six-point spread Thursday night against the Rams.
